CRN Welcomes Eleven New Companies

Washington, D.C., February 6, 2019—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry, today announced eleven new companies have joined the association’s membership ranks. These companies include: Voting Members—Cypress Ingredients; Inventia HealthCare Ltd.; Kappa Bioscience; Kerry; Mito-Q; NuLiv Science USA Inc.; OMG! Nutrition; and Vanteres; and Associate Members—BakerHostetler, LLP; RLA Collective, A Ruder Finn Company; and Yuyama.

Cypress Systems Inc. is a biotechnology company that develops, manufactures and markets a line of specialty fermentation products. The company’s flagship product is SelenoExcell High Selenium Yeast, which has been used as the sole intervention agent in a series of “Gold Standard” clinical trials. Cypress Systems also sells other natural food forms of organically bound minerals and nutritional yeast products. Inventia Healthcare Ltd.

Inventia is a 33-year-old organization and pioneer in the Novel Drug Delivery Solutions Space with a global presence across 28 countries. The company’s focus on innovation is reaffirmed by over 70 patent applications worldwide for their manufactured products and technology platforms. Inventia’s involvement in the nutraceutical space is supported by the need to create scientifically validated ingredients and products for the nutraceutical and dietary supplement industry. The company’s platforms, which have been validated over the years in the pharma space allow them to deliver specialized nutraceutical ingredients in enhanced formats.

Kappa Bioscience

Kappa Bioscience is a Norway-based company that produces vitamin K2 MK-7 ingredient under the brand name K2VITAL®. One of the company’s core assets is the patent covering the synthesis of pure vitamin K2 as menaquinone-7. Kappa provides global markets with a portfolio of all-trans K2 MK-7 ingredient solutions, including microencapsulated DELTA for stability in mineral formulations. The company invests heavily in R&D innovation, market education and commercial strategies for the rapid launch of consumer products.

Kerry 

Kerry is responding to consumer demand for real ingredients with better, more authentic and nutritious taste experiences. With 40 years’ experience and 24,000 staff on six continents, Kerry has a renewed focus on Taste & Nutrition where the science of taste merges with the science of nutrition. Kerry’s nutrition and wellness portfolio of research-backed ingredients includes GanedenBC30®, a highly-stable, spore-forming probiotic and Wellmune®, a baker’s yeast beta glucan.

Mito-Q

Mito-Q is a finished branded product company that produces Co-Q 10 based dietary supplements and personal care products. Mito-Q is a mitochondria-targeted Co-Q10 that is absorbed through the mitochondrial membrane directly into the body of the mitochondria. More than 60 million dollars has been invested in the company’s research worldwide and has resulted in more than 200 papers published in peer-reviewed journals. Mito-Q has been formulated into a range of supplements and skincare products, and there are currently 142 research laboratories evaluating Mito-Q’s activity in a range of health conditions. 

NuLiv Science USA Inc.

NuLiv Science is a full range ingredient supplier, early-stage developer of nutraceuticals and turnkey service provider to the dietary supplement and cosmeceutical industry. Vanteres, a portfolio company of SPRIM Ventures, was founded by experienced scientific leaders from Duke-NUS and backed by TKS1, a healthcare and life science focused venture capital fund formed by the partnership between SPRIM Ventures and Tikehau Capital (TKO.FP). Vanteres has offices in Philadelphia and Singapore.
