CRN heads into ‘Day on the Hill’ with economic data, a new app and timely messaging—including opposition to NDAA amendment

On Wednesday, CRN members will join association staff and lobbyists in Washington, D.C., for “CRN’s Day on the Hill.” The day will be filled with face-time spent educating Members of Congress and their staff about the benefits of dietary supplements to their constituents’ wellness in addition to their local economies. Members will be armed with new data about the economic impact of the dietary supplement industry from a CRN-commissioned report to be released that day, and a brand-new government relations mobile app that will put CRN messages, key data about Congressional contacts, and much more, at their fingertips.

CRN members will encourage members of Congress to support legislation that would allow consumers to purchase dietary supplements with pre-tax dollars from their Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs); discuss and share information about the industry’s product registry initiative; and oppose an onerous dietary supplement amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)—as noted in a recent joint letter from industry trade associations sent to senate offices.
