Building Responsibly Together in Carlsbad

As we gather to Build Responsibly, CRN is taking intentional steps to reduce our environmental impact across the event, while inviting attendees to do the same. With support from Nutrawise Health & Beauty dba youtheory, sustainability is woven into the experience from arrival through departure.

Start with the Destination

The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa actively reduces its environmental footprint through toiletries available only upon request, bulk dispensers for soap, shampoo and conditioner, guest-room recycling, and EV charging stations.

The Crossings at Carlsbad spans more than 400 acres of preserved coastal terrain designed to protect local habitats. Attendees can experience the course during Thursday’s golf tournament. At 20 Twenty, locally sourced cuisine also supports regional sustainability.

Travel Smart

The hotel is approximately 30 miles from the nearest major airport. Help reduce emissions by carpooling with fellow attendees, sharing airport and event rides, and coordinating transportation with colleagues from the same company or local office.

Choose Reusable, Lower-Waste Materials

CRN has selected eco-friendly items designed for reuse and long-term value, including reusable water bottles, tote bags, yoga towels and sustainable notepads.

Conserve During Your Stay

Support water conservation by reusing hotel towels and, when possible, opting for housekeeping service every two to three days instead of daily linen changes.

Close the Loop Before You Leave

Return your name badge for recycling.
Drop off your lanyard so it can be reused at future events.
Any leftover swag will be donated to the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics .
