Is your company represented on CRN's Communications and Media Outreach Committee (CMOC)?

CMOC in 2022:

CMOC was reinvigorated in 2022 as our core group came together more regularly and we welcomed some new participants, addressing issues such as:

As well as promotion of the value of dietary supplements via:

  • Outreach to registered dietitians
  • Sharing highlights of CRN's annual consumer survey
  • Dissemination of our Supplements to Savings study data
  • And more, such as learning about technologies like blockchain and how one company is using it to let responsible companies leverage their best practices and transparency as a competitive advantage—and other peer-to-peer learning.

Hear from some of our committee members, present and past...

CRN's Dr. Andrea Wong appeared on the Today show earlier this year. The segment covered the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force guidance on multivitamins report and Dr. Wong put the results in context for consumers.

Be part of what's next

The committee will regroup in early 2023 to prioritize tactics, springboarding off our most recent virtual meeting in November, including:

  • Continuing to develop relationships to build a pool of health care practitioner spokespeople and other reputable third-party voices who are supportive of supplements.
  • Finding common cause with other organizations that support the use of supplements and see value in it—with an eye toward those involved in pregnancy, childbirth and early childcare and maternal health.
  • Pursuing a collective, proactive effort from a reputation standpoint, focused on consumer education and awareness.
