CRN has been approached by Drug Store News with an intriguing marketing opportunity for a few of our members. DSN proposes to produce a series of podcast-style video interviews with CRN and a few select executives from our member companies. These interviews would cover a range of supplement-related topics (TBD) and would be released over several weeks to DSN subscribers (including its sizable retailer readership) and others.
Here is what is proposed:
DSN would produce a series of video interviews, (potentially 6) around a series of dietary supplement-related topics. Each interview would be about 5-6 minutes.
Each segment would be moderated by either John Kenlon (DSN’s publisher) or Nigel Maynard (DSN’s Editor-in-Chief) and each would feature one of the various executives of your choice.
The topics might include:
- research supporting the use of multivitamins;
- how supplement companies are addressing supply chain challenges;
- meeting new standards for quality and certification being imposed by retailers;
- innovation in delivery forms for supplements;
- what precision nutrition may mean for retailers;
- company efforts to address nutrition insecurity and health disparities
The series would be branded as being “Cosponsored by CRN and...” with each segment naming the sponsoring company—so you benefit from the association with CRN as an industry thought leader.
The podcasts would be pushed out to DSN subscribers on an agreed upon schedule (maybe once a week, or once every two weeks) and would also be promoted in the daily online issues and printed version of Drug Store News. The podcasts would “live” on the DSN website for about one year after their release. CRN will also provide promotional support.
The sponsorship package includes an additional advertising opportunity (included in the sponsorship fee) in DSN for each of the five sponsoring companies. This could be in the form of a banner ad in DSN online, or an advertisement in the printed version.
The cost is $40,000 for the series. Divided by five sponsoring companies, the price is $8,000 per company. The opportunity is limited to five companies—if more respond, we will seek to expand the series with DSN, or select five randomly.
