About my current work...
Currently, I work at AstraZeneca in Gaithersburg, MD. AstraZeneca (AZ) is a UK-based biopharmaceutical company that focuses on creating therapies in Oncology, Respiratory, and Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism. I support the North America Talent Acquisition with orientation, onboarding, executive-level interview scheduling, and recruitment projects. My goal is to pursue a medical writing role within the organization as I work to transition into my career path of nutrition and medicine. Being at this company affords me the opportunity to look at medicine from the perspective of biopharma companies and their industry. I believe what I learn at AZ will help me to make more informed decisions for my patients' well-beings in the future.
CRN's impact on me...
I remain grateful for the opportunity to attend the CRN Day of Science in 2016. It was a very enjoyable, detailed, and engaging day filled with nutrition research, knowledge, information, and foresight for the future of nutrition and its role in healthcare. For me, nutrition lays the foundation of what I know and believe to be the source of healing and and an overall healthy well-being; so, the conference's Day of Science was impactful to me in remaining faithful to my goals of caring for patients by combining nutrition and medical care as a physician-nutritionist or physician-dietitian. I also learned more about different career paths in the field of nutrition and has helped me in exploring various interests. To the CRN organizers and Friedman staff for putting this together--thank you!
