Valentine's Day is a great time to focus on heart health.

Scientific and economic data from the “Supplements to Savings” report show that specific dietary supplement regimens for target populations can improve quality of life and reduce health care costs related to coronary artery disease.

Did you know?

Coronary artery disease (CAD), also known as coronary heart disease (CHD) or ischemic heart disease (IHD) puts a heavy burden, both financially and in terms of reduced quality of life, on U.S. citizens, and Americans are increasingly struggling to cope with it—along with the increasing costs of treating this disease condition.

It is estimated that 13.4 million U.S. adults aged 55+ experienced a CAD-attributed inpatient medical service or emergency room visit event in 2022, an event risk of 13.0% given a total population of 103.1 million Americans aged 55 and older, according to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

CAD continues to be the leading cause of death in the U.S., ending 659,000 lives each year and accounting for 1 out of 4 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
