White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health—supplements fill nutrition gaps
CRN’s Chairman’s Challenge to #Act4Access is well-timed as the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health will take place on Sept. 28, culminating Hunger Action and Awareness Month.
At the conference, the Biden-Harris Administration will announce a national strategy that identifies actions the government will take to prompt the public and private sectors to take action where food, hunger, nutrition, and health intersect.
The White House held public virtual listening sessions to gather ideas and experiences surrounding hunger, diet-related diseases, and the disparities surrounding them. CRN’s Andrea Wong, Ph.D., and Brian Wommack participated in separate regional sessions, providing brief commentary about the role of supplementation in filling nutrition gaps.
