MAY 8, 2025 - The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry, announced today it has submitted formal comments to the U.S. Department of Commerce urging the agency to exclude dietary supplements and their ingredients from actions arising from the Department’s Section 232 national security investigation of pharmaceutical imports.

MAY 5, 2025 - The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association representing dietary supplement and functional food manufacturers and ingredient suppliers, has completed outreach to all 79 freshman offices in both the House and Senate (including two new non-voting delegates), reinforcing CRN’s commitment to early engagement with new policymakers and laying the groundwork for the association’s 2025 Day on the Hill, taking place in June.

APRIL 29, 2025 - The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry, has completed an updated evaluation of magnesium safety, raising its recommended safe upper level (UL) for magnesium supplements to 500 milligrams per day for healthy adults, based on new human clinical data showing that higher levels are well tolerated.
