Bruce Brown currently serves as President and Board Member of Natreon. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the company’s strategic direction and expanding the reach of Natreon’s clinically studied and patented botanical ingredients in the dietary supplement, food and beverage, personal care, animal nutrition and biotechnology fields.
Bruce’s career began in global public health serving communities in West and East Africa focusing on food security, nutrition, and communicable disease control. He served as a Visiting Fellow with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the Office of Global Health while earning his Master in Public Health (MPH) from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. Continuing his work in Africa, Bruce then served as Director of Public Health Programs for Phyto-Riker Pharmaceuticals in Ghana delivering high quality, lower cost generic and botanical products.
Upon returning to the United States, Bruce joined Martek Biosciences to spearhead commercial development of Martek’s patented ingredients in perinatal and nutritional supplements categories globally. Upon Martek’s acquisition by DSM Nutritional Products, he transitioned to Director of Marketing for DSM North America. Before joining Natreon, Bruce served as Vice President, Nutrition at Innophos where he was responsible for the integration of several acquired companies and to lead Innophos’ efforts in the Nutrition and Health category.
Mr. Brown holds an MPH degree in International Health from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health and MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He also serves as a Board Member for the Council for Responsible Nutrition.
