Dietary supplements: Essential for promoting health and wellness

Amidst COVID-19 shut-downs, CRN is making the case to policymakers at all levels to keep the entire supplement value chain operating—sourcing, manufacturing, shipping, warehousing, labs, and retail. We're advocating for the continuing function of the entire dietary supplement industry as 77% of Americans take dietary supplements each year and rely on these products as part of their health and wellness regimen.

Dietary supplement companies are uniquely positioned and qualify as essential as both food producers and healthcare manufacturers. CRN issued three letters and a white paper to make that case:

FDA updates guidance for adverse event reporting during a pandemic

New FDA guidance provides recommendations to industry regarding postmarket adverse event reporting for drugs, biologics, medical devices, combination products, and dietary supplements during a pandemic. FDA noted that these latest updates to the guidance are applicable to any pandemic when your workforce may be minimized or compromised. Learn more.
