New meta-analysis points to benefits of vitamin D for hospitalized COVID-19 patients 

Supplementation with vitamin D is associated with improved clinical outcomes in COVID-19, according to a new systematic review and meta-analysis published in the Journal of Endocrinological Investigation.

Digging deeper: Researchers found that vitamin D use in COVID-19 was significantly associated with reduced ICU admission and mortality, especially in patients with moderate-to-severe COVID-19 requiring hospitalization.
