Retirement Announcement for Dr. Jim Griffiths

With a very mixed heart, I write to inform the CRN membership that Dr. Jim Griffiths, our Senior Vice President, International & Scientific Affairs, has notified me that he plans to retire from CRN at the end of the month. While we are happy for Jim and what the next chapter may hold (and hope he has plans to spend lots of time with his grandchildren), we will miss him at CRN tremendously.

Jim first joined CRN from U.S. Pharmacopeia in 2012. Since then, he has been the anchor of CRN’s international activities and a contributor to our scientific and regulatory team. With regular trips to Codex committee and full commissions meetings, he has likely logged more airline miles than anyone else on staff during his tenure! Jim has shepherded CRN’s international program including highly regarded scientific symposia at the Codex meetings leading to publications of those proceedings as well. He also helped start CRN’s annual Toxicology Workshops and has provided invaluable expertise, counsel, and perspective on a wide range of safety and international issues for our members.

I know you join me in wishing Jim all the best and much good health as he begins retirement. If you would like to reach out to Jim, his work email (until the end of December) is JGriffiths@crnusa.org, and after that, you may reach him at james.c.griffiths@gmail.com.
