Building on content presented at the CRN/ACI 2025 Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Forum on Dietary Supplements, this follow-up webinar zeroes in on California’s landmark recycling law—SB 343, signed in 2022 and set to take full effect in October 2026. The law prohibits the use of the chasing arrows recycling symbol and other recyclability claims unless strict criteria are met, posing significant implications for product labeling and packaging across industries, including dietary supplements.
Join Will Wagner, Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig LLP, for a focused and practical session designed to help supplement companies understand and prepare for SB 343 compliance.
Key topics will include:
- What SB 343 requires and how it affects packaging and recyclability claims
- How to determine if your product packaging qualifies as recyclable under California law
- Steps companies must take now to meet the October 2026 compliance deadline
- Expanded recordkeeping obligations and CalRecycle’s role in enforcement
- Brief insights into Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws and how they intersect with SB 343
Whether you attended the CRN/ACI conference earlier this year or are new to the topic, this webinar will provide essential legal and strategic guidance to help your company stay compliant and avoid penalties in California's evolving regulatory landscape.
