JULY 27, 2026 — The recent Washington Post investigation and the New York Times opinion essay both raise legitimate concerns about the rapid growth of unapproved injectable peptide products and efforts to sidestep drug review of these products. CRN shares these concerns. Consumers deserve products that are backed by sound science and companies that comply with the law.

JULY 24, 2026 — The New York Times investigation into AI-generated "doctors"  promoting dietary supplements (The Fake Influencers Selling Wellness on Your Feed) highlights a serious problem—but it's important to identify the real culprit.  Fraudulent marketing, fake health experts, and illegal disease claims are not features of the dietary supplement industry. They are clear violations of the law.

JULY 15, 2026— CRN appreciates the American College of Physicians' commitment to protecting patients and promoting evidence-based healthcare. We share many of objectives outlined in the paper—which appeared in the Annals of Internal Medicine—including removing adulterated products from the marketplace, strengthening FDA oversight, improving physician-patient communication about dietary supplements, expanding nutrition research, and ensuring consumers have access to accurate, science-based information.

April 23, 2026 - CRN welcomes Representative Maxine Dexter’s (D-OR) introduction of a House version of the Dietary Supplement Listing Act, which adds growing momentum to the calls for radical transparency in the dietary supplement industry. CRN has been unwavering its commitment to bring accountability to the supplement marketplace through a public registry of labels that strengthens FDA oversight while remaining feasible for manufacturers to implement. This week’s introduction furthers that objective.

FEBRUARY 10, 2026 — The New York Times article by Alice Callahan, “Do You Need These Popular Supplements?,” presents a familiar and increasingly common — although grossly inaccurate — narrative: that most dietary supplements are unnecessary for the general population and that consumers would be better served by relying almost exclusively on whole foods.

DECEMBER 1, 2025 — CRN has asked the Second Circuit Court of Appeals to rehear its case because the panel’s decision lowers the constitutional protections that apply to truthful commercial speech.
