At the 2018 China Natural Ingredients Conference (CNIC) opening day plenary session, CRN’s Mike Greene educated a delegation of international experts on the role dietary supplements play in improving the health and wellness of Americans. Mr. Greene’s presentation detailed findings from Frost and Sullivan’s Dietary Supplement Health Care Cost Savings Study, commissioned by the CRN Foundation. He reviewed all eight dietary supplement regimens, specifically focusing on omega-3 fatty acids and the relative risk reduction of coronary heart disease, and the corresponding cost savings with reducing hospitalizations. He also elaborated on health care cost savings associated with reducing bone fractures through calcium and vitamin D supplementation.
