It's here! The new “CRN Connect” mobile app is now available to help you stay up-to-date on CRN news and engaged in your committees—a top tip for making the most of your membership. Developed to provide an easy way to keep track of committee meetings, resources, and CRN/industry events, the app also features a newsfeed with filtered committee updates, member-to-member messaging, and discussion forums.

CRN-I symposium report takes deep dive into health promotion

A good healthspan is not just freedom from morbidity and mortality, it is that joie de vivre (“joy of living”) that should accompany every day of the lifespan, according to a CRN-International (CRN-I) conference report recently published in the European Journal of Nutrition. The report, “Measuring Health Promotion: Translating Science into Policy,” comprises expert perspectives from CRN-I's 2019 Symposium, taking a deep dive into health promotion and health literacy, appropriate nutritional study design and the role the human microbiome plays in promoting health and alleviating disease.

CRN and its members should recognize that the credibility of individual companies and of the dietary supplement and functional food industry as a whole depends upon fairness in the marketplace, with respect to individual consumers, the public at large, government agencies, state and federal legislatures, the professional and academic communities, and fellow members of the industry and its supporting suppliers.
